In the past few weeks since we have started OT with Van […]

In the past few weeks since we have started OT with Vanessa I have seen so much improvement with my son. All of the sensory work and ideas she is giving us are doing the trick. She gave us chewelery which has helped him stop chewing his shirt. Sleeping with the bean bag chair on him has improved his sleep. And the most drastic change is that he went from sometimes going to the potty, if we sat him on it, to TELLING us he has to go. Before he didn’t know when he had a wet or dirty pull up. He would have to look in the potty to see if he had gone. Now he is feeling when he needs to go. Thank you so much for sending Vanessa to us.

Pathway Programs changed the lives of our special needs […]

Pathway Programs changed the lives of our special needs child and our family. When we started using Pathway Programs, our days were filled with our three-year-old daughter’s screaming, tears, and tantrums. Today, our house is filled with smiles, laughter, and a special needs child described by others as “the happiest girl in the world.” The happiness that fills our daughter’s eyes and our hearts came from the therapists at Pathway Programs. They helped us understand our daughter’s challenges and educated us on how we could help her. The people that work for Pathway Programs are knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Our daughter continues to progress. Thank you, Pathway Programs, for being an amazing blessing in our lives!

When my eight-year-old son started working with Pathway […]

When my eight-year-old son started working with Pathway Programs he couldn’t properly pronounce an “r.” Now close to graduating, he’s able to pronounce it correctly 80% of the time. His speech therapist has been wonderful to work with and very accommodating to our schedule. She drove to his school in Sharpsburg for his sessions. I’m so grateful that my son has had Pathway Programs.

My son’s feeding disorder impacted our entire family through his refusal to try normal foods, our inability to eat at restaurants, and nightly dinner battles. Monique with Pathway Programs worked with my son to overcome his fear of certain foods through small steps where he could feel successful. They created a weekly homework contract, so my son felt in control of his diet. My son can now try new foods. He’s eating a more balanced diet including fruits and vegetables! Our family can enjoy dinnertime together.

When we started with Miss Jill and Pathway Programs, my 3-year-old was not using more than two words at a time and often others could not understand him. Miss Jill knew exactly where to start with him. He had 8 sessions over 3 months and was then using sentences and conversation that could be understood! It made a tremendous difference in his behavior and confidence; and the recommendations she gave helped us as parents know what we should do to keep him progressing. He just loved playing with Miss Jill!
